Well that all folks. From here we headed back to camp, and had our final feast of the trip, gorging on all our remaining food. The next morning we ran down to South Lake, and began thumbing for a ride back to Pine Creek. We planned to hitchhike in three sections, but to our astonishment I nice couple from Mammoth Lakes picked us up at South Lake and drove us all the way back to Pine Creek. We really could not have been more lucky. After we retrieved the car we took the scenic route back to Reno through Lake Tahoe.

This trip really was a classic. Mostly off trail, entirely above treeline, with spectacular scenery and some exciting climbs. I can't wait to go back.
