Once again, like clockwork, the afternoon thunderstorms rolled in as I was descending the continental divide. This time I got caught out in the storms for a while. However, it did not take long to descend to tree line from the divide, and I quickly pitched my tent. Shortly thereafter, I experienced my first snow, sleet, and hail storm of the trip. By this time I was snuggled into my sleeping bag, and had dinner cooking.
Later in the afternoon, the weather parted, and I enjoyed a wonderful sunset from my campsite.
