Today May 6th.2014 the Fisheries of Alberta stocked 5000 trout at the lake...The size was from 7-9 inches... He said they grow about one inch a month. The fish came from the hatchery at Cold Lake Alberta. They are ready to catch... Some of the purest fisherman do the catch and release thing... if they know what they are doing, lucky 10 out a hundred will live, so the the average Joe... might as well keep them.. On the other hand... does it really matter... We have Blue Herons that live on the lake.. A snack for them... Nothing gets wasted in Nature. It's in the food chain of life...
