I can remember two in Wetaskiwin, both had saw dust on the floors, wrapped up your order in brown paper and string... You could even rent your meat locker to keep your product frozen... they made fresh bacon and ham... the garlic sausage was second to none... loaded with only the best meat... You could get all the dog bones you wanted for free... Pork Spare Ribs were almost given away. 5 cents a pound... A dollar went a long way then....
