After hiking the Beech Bluff trail along the creek, I backtracked to the fork and took
the uphill trail which leads to “Stairway to Heaven”. This is a very steep series of wooden
steps or staircase that leads to the top of the bluffs. Once at the top of the stairs the trail
follows the ridge and continues on a steep angle pass several large beech trees.
