Driveway View - Not Much Happening

Last year I did a bunch of shots from my driveway so I thought I'd do it again from time to time. As you can see we have no snow. In fact so far this season we've received 0.8 inches (~2cm) and that's a very generous official measurement at the airport. It is nice that everyone has had plenty of time to clean up their leaves and yards but the regular drab gray skies are getting on my nerves. The temperature has been all over the place: on the 4th we hit 70F (~21C) a new record high for the date - and today we only made 35F (~1C). Mostly we've been slightly warmer than average.

Could be one of those strange seasons again this year...

I'm sure you will get some snow.....but it maybe later than earlier. Your lawns look good!

This looks like a normal winter day for us. I do hope you finally get whatever it is you are hoping for.

I am not sure why, but I always enjoy your driveway shots. You should gather them all in a dedicated gallery. We are having a similar season in Nova Scotia - cold, grey, and snowless; rather depressing actually.

Hmmm strangely bare of the white stuff. Give it a few.

Yikes, that sounds dire to me for NY in December. I certainly hope you have a "normal" season.

Four years ago on Dec. 11 we had a snow blizzard for about 2 hours and I was hoping we'd have it again--only grey skies and dark all day. Northeast wind that bites you to the bone.
Maybe you won't have snow this year.

Hope your weather improves with some familiar snow.

I never thought I would be wishing for snow but we really need the moisture and if it's by snow, I'm good! The weird thing was on Sunday we had an inch here by the river and a mile inland up on top of the bluff they had four inches! That's where the farm land is so it fell in the right place! Nice scene, enjoy it while you can!

I like your greenery as well. Yesterday we had what the weatherman calls mixed precipitation starting off as snow followed by freezing rain and then rain followed by very cold temperatures.

You may need mow again, Pattie! Nice shot!!

Looks like that here. Our temps have also been crazy and we have had no snow.

The green grass looks better then snow. Good luck on your weather this winter. :-))
