CR 429-San Gabriel River, Milam County

No longer spanning the San Gabriel River, in Central Milam County, a bridge now sits in a field. Built in 1940 and 135 feet long, this Subdivided Warren Pony Truss bridge has been replaced with a new, but very bland looking concrete bridge. At least this bridge is still somewhat intact, with its riveted connection and floor beams visible, not like the last bridge I found sitting in a field in Gonzales County.

Latitude: 30° 42 Min. 35 Sec.
Longitude: -97° 4 Min. 51 Sec.
