My cousin was Peter Volid my father was first cousin to him. He was the last one to live in the house I believe. Growing up Pete had many family partys at the farm. I remember that his wife Virginia had a spinning wheel upstairs and wore long country dresses. Also he he would land his piper cub plane in the field .Back then there was a barn where they milked the cows. Our older cousins would lead us around in a circle near the barn that still stands on horseback . They were great times. We revisited the house when they were doing work on it. When you are little everything seems so large. Well rooms seemed smaller to me. What a thrill. The picture is the way I remember it. Great Picture Thanks so much

Oh how lovely and elegant it still
is. Happy times have been seen by
these walls...think the voices still
ring out...(or, maybe I need more
coffee)?

I try to imagine what life must have been like back in those days. Must have had a lot of children to fill all those rooms.

Nice capture of this farm house with charming red window frames. Still looks new and sturdy after all these years. A very pleasant and quiet surrounding ~V~
