20090502 - Show no Mercy

Anyone know what these little pink things are (other than 'flowers')? They were merrily growing in the middle of the postage stamp I call a 'lawn' - 'til I mercilessly murdereded them with my mower...

A weed is just a wild flower growing in the wrong place,
Very pretty whatever it is.

Whatever they're called they've given us all a brave moment of glory. So do the daisies in our garden before they're executed!

Do I see a woody stem in the middle of the cluster of buds? Does look like a Apple bloom.

There's that dark side again!...ruthless! :-))

It does look like fallen blossom...but I'd say it was a flower called Lady's Smock. As a youngster, I knew it as the Mayflower, and in some areas it's known as the Cuckooflower.

Excellent shot of the soon to be, late, Lady's Smock. LOL..........
