Lower Right2912.jpg

This is the lower right corner of the CCD.
This is the area where the "purple haze" shows up in long exposures.

There are conspicuously no heat sources on or around the CCD save for possibly a SM transistor or resistor, which also occur in other places on the back of the CCD board.
The entire CCD has plenty of air space around it, the metal back plate has about 3 mmof clearance to the moving CCD.

The untrimmed CCD leads conduct heat away from the chip, obviously "air cooled".

Other circuit boards are at least 10mm away.
