Delphi

Delphi is a pan-Hellenic sanctuary of Apollo on a mountain slop that dated back to the 7th century BC. The myth and tradition of the Delphic oracle is even older. Besides the Temple of Apollo, the site has many "treasuries", which held offerings of thanks to the oracle from Greek city states for victories. The Treasury of Athens was reconstructed here.
