Musée d'Orsay

After the Louvre, Orsay is the second most important museum in Paris. It houses the French national collection of arts created between 1848 and 1914, including masterpieces from the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist periods. Opened in 1986, its building was originally a railroad station for the Paris/Orleans line, until it became unsuitable for long trains after 1939.
