En båt tur genom mangrove skogen ut till sand spetsen där Malaysiska Snäppan väntar är ett välkommet avbrott efter flera timmar vid salt pölarna.


A break after hours of birding by the salt pans. A 20 minute boat ride through the mangroves to a sandspit with waiting Malaysian Plovers amongst many other things.

We had a Pectoral Sandpiper in our scopes for 15 minutes before it was scarred of and flew over our heads. Couldn't get an image as there was barb wire and a canal in front of me.
This was a 1st record for Thailand but not accepted due to lack of evidence.
