My Christmas Gift!

On the way home from the sand spit we suddenly caught sight of a small Gull.
I was quite drowsy and tired but totally got jolted out of my misery as I quickly realized that the incredible had happend. A Black-legged Kittiwake was on a pole only a few meters from us!
We circled the pole in the rather bumby boat for atleast 20 minutes taking pictures in the hundreds with a 'million different' settings.

This bird is only the 5th Thai record that I am aware of and a bird I haven't seen up till now. So, in spite of seeing 4 Spoon-billed Sandpipers, 2 White-faced Plovers and 22 Nordmann's Greenshank this lovely little gull sure made my day!
