Slow Loris

Pangnga

Mammals are not exactly easy to see in Thailand. This was my first sighting of this incredible animal.
I was visiting my father who lives next to a a forested mountain in the South. There was a lot of commotion from the street outside his house and I went to have a look. The locals were watching this incredible animal on a telephone pole. No one even knew what it was. I ran for my camera and got some shots. See that large insect in his hand? That was what attracted him to the post.
Very slow and deliberate movements came from the animal. Fascinating to say the least and never mind that I caused a muscle in my calf to tear while running for the camera.

So many of our animals are nocturnal that it is difficult to find them ... as this one seems to be. This is a great shot of an unusual creature. Worth getting a sprained leg for. Well done.

What a fantastic caputre, Peter. The exposure and detail are amazing. Love his lunch. Hope your calf gets better. BV
