You were so well prepared to bring the coffee maker. Ours was a last minute decision to bring the camping gear for a couple nights (we were staying 3 nights in a resort in Sedona) and missed having the morning coffee when in the tent. I even drove 30 miles from the Navajo National Monument - back to Kenyata to get some morning coffee - and also to again check out the great tribute/small exhibit to the Code/Wind Talkers from WWII - at the Burger King. Those guys were real heroes - using the Navajo language to confuse the Japanese during WWII - but it remained classified for 30 years and nobody really knew what brave things they did until the early 70's. Shame - as these former Marines could not even get government jobs as they couldn's say anything about what they did in the war. So - not having a coffee maker had a little bit of silver lining but next time am taking one for sure. Uno Mas - great trip report. Feel like I/we are right there with you on the journey. :)
