I was down looking at some land east of Sunsites, AZ and came across this Western Hog-nosed snake (Heterodon nasicus) in the process of swallowing a small toad.
By the time I got my camera (about 30 seconds) the toad was already about 1/4 of the way down the snake's body (the bulging area in this image). This snake was
about 16 inches and not very pleasant (see http://www.pbase.com/pegsam/image/82762983 ).
