I have been to Gates Pass many times, and I must say this is a great shot. Love the layers and tones.

Like a lot of folks have commented here, the way you've captured the layers, and the color, gives a beautiful mystical feel. The added bonus of our desert is all the saguaro cacti sticking up on the ridgelines!

Good job on capturing the different shades of the hills. I've shot similiar scenes in the smokies and know how difficut it can be to get it right. I like he shades of earth tones versus the shades of blue in the smokies.
