A rather non-descript photo from a window view on approach, returning from a business trip to China
several years ago. I was hoping to be able to have a long layover so I could see a bit more during my brief
visit. Unfortunately, my inbound flight was late getting in and I was literally whisked through the airport to
catch my next flight which was waiting for me. I remember being greeted by a young Japanese attendant
as I left my arriving flight. She held up a sign with my name and said "We must run!". And off we went for
what seemed like close to a kilometer. I had to go through a security check point but had no boarding pass
for my next flight. A quick exchange, all in Japanese, from my attendant to the security guard had me rushed
through that check point. She got my boarding pass printed for me at the gate and I was on my flight to
Los Angeles. All told, I spent less than 35 minutes in Tokyo on my first and only visit (so far) to Japan. :(
