2003. October 25: Guadeloupe has a new tug, the "POINTE VIGIE".
The tug, rated at 2000 h.p. was recently acquired from the French Company "LES ABEILLES", located in Marseille.
"POINTE VIGIE" has a Deutz SBV 6 M358 engine, with a speed of 13 knot and a BOLLAR pull of 32 MT. It has two auxiliary engines Baudoin each 115/130 V; and two pumps for fire fighting.
The tug is fully equipped with radars and all necessary security instruments. It flies the French flag and vessel classified Bureau Veritas 13/3 E. The vessel was operating in Bordeaux ports.
