NGC 4945 is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Centaurus. It is thought to be quite similar to the Milky Way Galaxy, but X-ray observations show that NGC 4945 has an unusual, energetic, Seyfert 2 nucleus that might house a large black hole. It was discovered by James Dunlop in 1826
I recently purchased a Northgroup ED127 from the Iceinspace classifieds and looked forward to getting some wide angle love.... as is the way I had 2 weeks of Cr ** (less than optimal weather)... But never fear I said to myself I have 3 weeks of Holiday coming just at the time of new moon so I will be able to get non stop Astro joy! The result of course is 10 days now of smoke haze with brief moments in the clear. I finally managed one night of clear skies (before the fire flared up again this week)
