Chester, England

Much of the architecture of Chester is intended to look medieval and some of it is. But the most notable architecture is Victorian and characterized by wood framing painted black with white panels in between. This architecture is very common in the Cheshire region of England and dates to the 19th century. This row of shops on Bridge Street is typical of the genre.
