I come to your site by having met a gentleman
at the airport in Honolulu. We had a brief
encounter - as might be the case in crossing
paths while traveling.
He told me that he was moving to Saipan.
We explored the topic. I was so fascinated
hearing about his home- to- be that I told
him I would google "Saipan" when I arrived
back in California.
Yours was the first site I saw and a beautiful
introduction to Saipan it is!
Your photos are now a lingering memory
of that meeting.
I was so captivated with the conversation-
until I realized it was I who, first, needed
to board a plane. We walked to the gate.
It seemed time stopped for an instant.
Then, with a hug and a glance we parted
with no time to share another word.
I would enjoy to learn of his impressions
and experiences as he settles in on the
island. Nonetheless, I shall be content
with your beautiful images of the island,
its culture and trust that Mr. Gentleman
is in the embrace of Saipan and it's Aloha.
