Fawn, May 2008

Overnight a newborn fawn appeared on our lawn. Although we didn't witness it, we think the mother somehow moved the baby into a shady and more sheltered nearby garden where it rested all day.

What a darling creature nested in the lily-of-the-valley and columbine and fern. The pictures are exquisite.
