dragonfly....

This dragonfly has 3 pair of wings...
The others i have seen in my garden have 2 pairs of wings...
Is this an adult?
Its a pleasure to see them sunbathing in the garden...
Between 4 and 6 on sunny afternoons...
Jaime has just brought to my attention that its an optical illusion...
the third pair of wings is just the shadow...Duhhhhh....

Yours is a magic garden with so many visitors willing to pose for you. Is ut 3 pairs of wings or 4??? No matter, it's a beautiful capture!

Wow! 3 pairs... thats really unique! Fantastic find and shot~V

The third set of wings makes this shot a rarity. Few would see the third set as a shadow right away because it's so well placed. A real conversation piece - a keeper.
