Home made solar filter

Austin, Texas

This is what I used to take the Solar Eclipse photos. I threw it together at the last minute. It is from left to right: Nikon CP-5000, Adjustable Coolfix, Crystalvue Sharp Shooter 8x32, UR-E6, 4 1.25" telescope eyepiece color filters screwed together. The filters are blue, green, red, and a moon filter all screwed together. Since the filters didn't screw on to the UR-E6, I had to use electrical tape to hold them on to my UR-E6. I also had to wrap the front of the Crystalvue with electrical tape until the UR-E6 was a snug fit. The Crystalvue turns the normal 85mm Coolpix 5000, into a 680mm lens. I was really suprised that it worked as good as it did.

Nikon Coolpix 990
1/120s f/2.5 at 8.2mm iso100 with Flash full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto
