This gallery is about the shortest night of the year. This is the night of 21 or 22 of June. This day is the solstice of summer. In some places of Spain we celebrate a special feast. This feast is called Saint John´s Fair because one of these days is Saint John. There is a very ancient traditon that says that we leave the bad things or bad experiences this night, and from that moment onwards we believe that we will have good luck for the next 12 months.
For this feast we make big wood and paper puppets, and at 12:00 at night, we burn the puppets, and the tradition says the bad things burn with them.
It´s a very tumultuous feast, and it is difficult take photographs, but I have tryed same shots, and this is the result.
Enjoy the fair!!!
