Cummins Longest Running Engine
1939 Diamond T Truck

Engine - HB - 400 rated at 100 horsepower at 1800 RPM

The engine/truck has been used by four different
fleets hauling commercial freight. In 1966, the
frame rails broke and it was reconstructed into
a yard switcher, as it is currently displayed.

The engine pictured is not an H model, it is an NH 4 valve head model as the intake and exhaust are on opposite sides. H engines had the intake and exhaust on the passenger side of the engine. The engine also appears to be supercharged which probably would make it an NHRS. Regards

I have a HB-400. Truck and original moter in my truck. It has been in storage for the last 4 years. It belonged to my father and he told me that the other moter was in New Mexico and was running at the time. It looks like the one in Mexico has been retired. I would like information on finding out if this is truley the last HB-400 still running, I have the orginal line sheet on the truck if that would help.
