And one day Akkini Ambalam, a rich farmer decided to thank the Gods by building a small temple
around a very old tree in the shade of Yanaimalai-mountain, protecting and blessing his fruitful
land by two Gods riding on their horse, Ayainaar and Periakaruppu. The granddaughter Kashdhuri
and her daughter proudly showed us the place, newly painted to celebrate today the Festival of the
Harvest, Pongal.
