The Kumb Melas are tribal gatherings of Sadhus and pilgrims on places to manifestate the
fantasy of man to be linked to gods existence on earth. Those tribes of Sadhus are
sheltered in tents on the banks the Ganga meander in Haridwar well organized this year
to avoid fights between rival Akharas like in 1998. In the background you see an Akhara
tent area mixed with tent areas for the police force across the main road along the Har Ki Pauri.
