Size 15 EE, baby, and proud of it! - brenda
by

This squirrel must have been really young and showed absolutely no fear of me. It even turned to sniff at my lens when I raised the camera and held it close. My backyard critters are used to me anyhow. I talk to them as I put out sunflower seeds, so they aren't bothered by hearing me move around. This one was on a "bird" feeder attached to a pear limb slightly above my head.

Very natural looking - look how you can see every hair on his body! Good job of natural framing in the window of the feeder.

Thanks so much,l everyone. Miro, I bumped up the saturation 3 notches and the contrast by a similar amount. I hope it works better. I worry about the continual re-compressions. I guess there's little one can do, though - and I do have the original.

All of this feedback is so incredibly helpful to me.

Brenda, you are happy your models are willing to pose for peanuts or sunflower seeds. Very nice portrait, with the shy smile.
Not a critic , but little more contrast and a bit more saturated could brush away flat look----on My monitor.:-)

What a sweet cute little baby! I just want to kiss his little nose. Doesn't it feel so good to have the trust of wild animals in our world. This little baby will always know you are a kind person and will grow up feeling safe coming to see you. You have imprinted a good vibe into this little sweetie-pie, with it bright shiny eyes. Very nicely done Brenda!

Thank you Brenda: after your demonstration, I will stop to save money to buy an expensive telezoom. With some cents of sunflower seeds I can get the same. Incredible shot. endika

I love these little guys. I agree with Richard. How did you get that close? I cheated with mine by narrowing my lense at 54mm. It look as if he ready to jump if you had inched closer. Very nice.
