I've never really paid much attention to Chipotle's ceilings. I'll have to do that next time I order my barbacoa burrito... hmmmmm mmmmm good... very nice detail.

I also had the airplane feeling with this shot. I like how you've made a ceiling worth looking at. Nice colours too.

I think you have managed to make an ugly ceiling look beautiful.

Brenda, a chipotle is a smoked and dried Jalapeño paper and it is the name of a chain of Mexican resultants in the US

Tom, even displayed large with the bottom slightly cropped I can see it fly

If you look at the thumbnail and forget what this really is it looks like an airplane upside down

I have no idea what a chipotle ceiling means but I assume it's in a restaurant, and I like the effect - it has an alien quality, stark and unadorned but with many intriguing details like the lights and the slatted red ceiling. This is a very cool shot.

Without roof it looks like a space construction from the SF movies.
Nice composition.

Richard, I noticed that shadow too and the reason is becauase, the shadow on the wall is from the light hanging farthest to the right :o) Thanks for explaining the reason for the triangular hanging things. That makes perfect sense!

I forgot to say I like the red white border treatment you created for this image and the electric lights are not blown out. The shadow of one hanging lamp on the wall is very interesting in that you don't see the shadow of bulb... LOL

It is a style that cost a lot less than a finished ceiling and produces a lot of visual interest and those decorative triangular things reduce the sound echo.

It doesn't look like a restaruant roof at all, much more industrial feel to it. Prresumably the silver wedges are just for decoration?

Aww yes, we have a Chevy's here too. It's one of the better Mexican joints around here. I've been told there's an even better one in a southern suberb. Mmmm, my favorite food when I was in Kansas. So far I haven't found any as good as down there. lol Now, I'm hungry!

I have never been in a Chipotle restaruant, It reminds me of a chain Mexican restaurant in California called Chevys. They had a great tortilla making machine and the handed them out like confetti.
