Another great shot that would have faired well in the low key challenge also. Nice feel to this shot with the texture and DOF. It looks like that rose is ready to crumble away.

Cheers Shirley, Thats just the kind of reaction I was going for. I tried it in daylight and it looked to decrepid and creepy. But in this light it fit the title. It was quite hard setting up the shot just right, even with the 50mm f2.0 (open full!). Thanks again

I wasn't skipping over you, just trying to find the right words. I love the lighting, it shows off the dry petals very nicely and I quite like the rough textures of this rose compared to the velvety fresh ones. Really nice entry.
