No Longer Needed but Still Loved-Shirley
by Shirley Haden

I thought you might find it interesting to know that this sits amongst about 40 huge Wind Turbines that aren't visable due to the fog.

The vertical lines are very striking in this one, Shirley. I imagine this windmill tower is pretty high. We're getting more and more of those huge turbines in my own area now. People are somewhat resistant to them because of the constant swishing noise, which is affecting the nearby residents (who claim health problems such as headaches as a result).

Anyway - the near-B&W silhouette really works well, and the touch of russet color in the grass makes a pleasant shift from the neutrality of the grey tones.

Better and not very comfortable times, but with less environment pollution.

I actually did some shots of them in the fog. Some of the shots the tops were not visable at all! LOL I might have some in my January gallery. I think?

Shirley, it is interesting about the electric turbines. It makes me think an image where those are (just) visible would
create an interesting story.
