When I was five, we had a dog who ate plastic soldiers. They usually came out the other end. So yes, plastic soldiers never die, they just pass on through.

Now I have empathy with this one. When my kids were little, they lost lots of various plastic toys in the garden and I still find one now again, or at least, the lawn mower blades do!
