The expression draws us right into the shot. She's so beautiful, and yet the flies are unimpressed by anything except the prospect of a snack. The cool green backdrop is soothing in contrast to the irritation of those darn bites. Composition is excellent for this challenge, too. Brenda

You have to feel sorry for her, deer flies bites hurt! I know I've been bit by them, they're like spider bites and it takes forever for them to heal. She has a nice coat but those bare spots are in danger. It almost looks like she is begging you to rescue her from the attack of flies. I love your photo too! What a pretty girl she is!

I am going nuts just looking at the flies - even around the belly, no relief! Good sharpness for the length of the deer, then the nice creamy blur in the background - beautiful foto Goffen! brent
