5th= - Adrian - Fred

Lund

This is one of the first photos I took of my son Adrian. He was born the 17th of February, three months too early and he had to spend the first months in an incubator to keep warm. I took the photo through one of the holes in the incubator while holding Adrian with my other hand, so there was little room for compositional alternatives. Despite its technical shortcomings this is for me the best photo I took during 2007. Adrian is now 10 months old and if you want to see how he has developed, there's plenty of pics in my pbase gallery http://www.pbase.com/fredericus/adrian

Very touching picture. I can't remember when I saw something like this picture. I hope your son is well now.

Awwww, the little miracle boy! I think of all the father and child photos I've ever seen, this one touches me the most. It is those little tiny fingers holding onto your thumb that just melts my heart. It is like a photograph of father and son bonding. Now I can't wait to go see your latest shots! I haven't checked in for a while, I think I'm in for a treat!

What a wonderful story of life in this picture. Thank you, Fred.

Fred, this is what photography is about - a story, a picture.

Very good,

Claus.

Just had a quick look at your Adrian Gallery, he has grown up nicely, quite a little bundle of fun now :-)

Fred, that is a wonderful image, there are no technical shortcomings at all IMO.

My word, what a beautiful photo Fred. So touching, and thank you for posting it. I'm going to check out his later photos now, but this has made my evening! Alistair

Well Fred, it is one of the best stories of the year as well. Just make sure you keep a copy to show when he is 18 and is starting to rule the world - so he remembers that you loved him right from the start :-)

Merry, beautiful, blessed Christmas Fred! brent
