4th Place-Walking in the rising fog - Marc (Cynops)

I really liked how this guy walked towards the gloomy horizon, and the two kids on the left...
There could be a few stories to imagine behind that picture i think.

This is very mysterious. I really like the solitude that the fog conveys. Not being able to see through the fog leads the mind to guess what is ahead. And the 2 children balance the shot very well. I'm holding my hand over them I it wouldn't seem as powerful without them. Nicely done!

My bet is it has something to do with a central steam system venting nearby.

Yes indeed, great shot, great balance of tones retained in the fog and sky contrasting with the dark sliver of skyline and the figures stepping through the mist, almost feeling their way.
From one of the shots you posted in the forumn, it looks like there is a series of nozels in the floor venting vapour, is this some sort of art installation ?

I really like this shot Marc. The layers of B&W provide a definite depth to the shot, with the darker silhouette in the foreground plodding towards the distant chapel. The fog provides a wonderful separation of the foreground and background. The motion in this shot is slow and deliberate, and is outstanding.
