We don't get surf like that in southern England, unless there is a storm. I can hear the crashing of the wave and the hiss as the water on the beach retreats.

It takes a lot of shots to get a good crashing (or one lucky photographer)! Good one. You look so far from the subject but I see from the forground any closer and your shoes would have gotten a good soaking!
