Now why didn't I think of this. This surely is one of my favorites. Very appropriate title also. This is just an absolute piece of art.

Beautiful - "electric" shot. The crispness of the lines is just amazing. The subtle dark grays of the base really set the picture off. Glad you entered this!

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. I sure like this shot too. Shirley, it does look like a neon ice cream cone. I like your vision. And you just gave me a great idea for a composite image.

I usually share my images with my coworkers and most say they are nice, you know the typical comments from someone that REALLY doesn't understand/appreciate photography like we do. But one actually emailed me back and said she just made this her desktop picture. That made my day.

Cool idea and very well executed indeed, another one I wish I had thought of...

This not only is an excellent shot of light bent by design, but could also be an effective part of a campaign for energy efficiency and conservation. These lights are terrific products and I'm glad no company name is in evidence on the bulb. You got it right in many ways.

I think this really looks great! It looks like a neon ice cream cone! You've turned the mundane into the interesting piece of art. That's always a good thing. I'm very surprised at the shutter spead being only 1/125s I probably would have started out with a faster shutter but you got it perfect!
