Crashing At MOA-Shirley
by Shirley Haden

This is not my particular style and it happened quite by accident. This young man was the subject of my shot, sitting outside across from the huge parking garages outside the MOA (mall of america) having a smoke. I had him in my sights when a blue SUV went by just as I snapped the shot. The reflections on the van are of the parking garage and I can't for the life of me figure out how the boy still ended up showing in the picture. Through the windows of the SUV maybe?

Accident shots are the best one, IMO. They are rear and you can't repeat, or rearange them. You have only one chance and that's why they are the best.

It all comes together wonderfully Shirley,

what a triumph, in my opinion. story, image, color, intrigue.

Very intriguing shot Shirley - really well laid out for an "accident".

I am often the party pooper.
Living in a family of horse and cat whispers I always try to find the science in an anomaly before I accept it as beyond our own logical perceptions.

So pardon my logic. Had you selected a higher shutter speed the ghost would most likely not be there.

But then again the ghost may still be there but the fine distortion created by the moving suv windows would be gone. Disregarding how you captured it is a fine thought provoking image.

I agree with everything that's been said. Great shot Shirley!

Wow, what a winner: colour, composition, content and an air of mystery.
Spot on Shirley!
Flick.

Tremendous shot Shirley. Must be a ghost; being hit by a car had no effect.
