Yes, Miroslav's interpretation is just right - it does look like a nuke in a silo. The 'earth' looks like the moon too (green cheese, right?)

Nice moonscape! The LB adds a great atmosphere, something like looking through the visor of a spacesuit's helmet?
I like the colours and textures in this, too. endika

wow thanks everyone. I'm not giving way to "what it is" as i think the potential for personal interpretation is very high on these shots. I especially like Miroslav's understanding of it. For those not familiar with this lens here is a link (Rich) lensbabies dot com

I was also going to say it looked like another planet - or a set from the Alien movie.
That's the feeling it gave me. I think it's your best LB photo yet... with the colors and that unworldly look. Katherine

First of all if that is a road, then your road dept. has its work cut out for it and secondly I am glad you explained that f1 lens reading, if it were a real f1 you would have the best glass in the world and at what cost? What is a lens baby?

I love the PPing here! It looks like another planet, the striped cone works for the theme and when you hit holes like that, that swallow your entire tire, you feel like you just hit a crater on the moon! I really get a kick out of your rendition of pot holes from hell!

You've got some excellent entries there Charlie, and i like when you give that LB a go. I keep thinking of getting one, but the leica 25 lurks at the corner...
Very nice picture though, very moody too.

Charlie! Nuke war head in the sylos? One is enough. Perfect shot. I believe you shot this with lens baby, baby lens, what is the name?
Guest 03-May-2007 15:30
Charlie - of course I understand the 3 orange bars on the cone fit perfectly on theme - I was just expecting more cones in the street.
Guest 03-May-2007 15:02
Hi Richard. I used a Lensbaby 2.0 with no aperture. It does not communicate so it defaults to f1.0

Charlie I see shot this at f1 @ 1/1000 sec. What lens what did you use?
Guest 03-May-2007 14:42
I suppose there are 2 more cones in the other holes? :-)

Wonderful shot - LB really adds to the nightmare of the streets - that hole and the one on the far right seem particularly well formed...
