1st Place - You Never Know Where You're Going Till You Get There - Neil

In the style of Henri Silberman.

Sort of inspired by his "Poets Walk" photo from NYC, but without the rain and the umbrella.

The image can be found here http://www.henrisilberman.com/portfolio/parks.php?display=08

A stranger walking by at the right moment, with a suitcase in hand. The elements all fell into place, the Olympus gods must have been smiling.

Cheers to Charlie for the help with the title :-D

This has to be your pride and joy from this past year. Well, it sure would be mine if I'd taken it! I love fog and I love pines and I love your title. Great photo.

A man was walking by me on a country lane. His shoes were worn and his suitcase was his treasure. Doesn't he know he can't get anywhere from here?

I think I would find it hard to leave. Beautiful place.

I was not familiar with the original at all. I remember when you first posted this at DPR. It is every bit as beautiful and enigmatic this time round. Thanks for the great pic and the education Neil. PS. "you never know where your going till you get there"
