Ewww I like this much better. It looks much more icy! The figure standing out front looks like a knight protecting the castle. As you may have seen or read, we are having our Winter Carnival here in Minnesota. This would fit right in!

Loved the colour one Don as you know, but this is even more surreal and powerful,

Yep.......that is just about exactly how I would have done it. (Whatever it's worth) I think you got a nice range with it very cool and ice like. I also think the shadows are perfect. Adrians take might have been a bit too menecing for my taste. Very well done Don. I really dig this shot a whole lot.

Thanks for the comments.
Bruce this is from an ice show in Canada. With bright lights the color looked pretty neat on the ice, but now Charlie has convinced me to try black and white and I love it.
So here is the new version in b & w.

I love how this shot transcends "time" The figure is like an abberation and so curious. Reminds me of an ongoing dream I have. I always fel stupid saying it but.............this shot just screams B&W to me. I guess it is the warm light on ice. I want it COLD!!! Either way a very very effective shot Don

Quite an ice castle there Don. We have a similar set up through our Winter Carnival. I really like how you have framed this shot - with the snow almost looking like a carpet and the lines coming in. Looks very other-worldly - nice shot!

Love the colour Don. Where/what is it?
