G'day Bob - i meant to comment on the first image you had here. Both are superb, and while i think i prefer this one, the 1st was totally uncommon, and i just wanted to say at the time, that introducing more noise to it would potentially help it big time? - stunning captures both. Cheers, adrian

There's something about this image that keeps drawing me back in. I'm not quite sure what it is. Maybe it's the color or just that the moon looks as if it's going to swallow the land.

Thanks for your comments. I placed an alternate crop in the originals gallery athttp://www.pbase.com/image/54982705. Personally, I like this crop better but do find the lights and lower buildings a distraction. I tried burning them out, but did not like the results as well. -- Bob K.

You know, I like this one too. It just seems to be exactly what you saw with your eye when that moon was coming up. The purple colors are so nice and I like the house up on the horizon that is just dimly lit from the light of the moon. Very lovely. Could you have cropped in closer to the house and moon?
