American Robin in Winter-Shirley
by Shirley Haden

These trees were full of Robins plucking the berries before they migrated south for the winter. With the snowfall, they seemed to be frantic. This was one of the first photos taken with my E-300, well taken withing a few months of getting it.

I think you might be right Brad HA! These robins were getting so fat they were taking on the shape of a European Robin only a lot larger! In case you folks across the ocean didn't know, our robins look a lot different than yours in both size and shape. Funny story; in the film Mary Poppins, when she is singing with the robin "Just a Spoon Full of Sugar" that is an American robin, and they lived in London. HA!

I have never seen such an event,, I saw more Robins when I lived in Indiana, growing up,, they would be pulling up earth worms; ,sometimes I see them in NJ,, but this is not their favorite state,, I don't think the North East worms taste as good as MidWest worms :)
