my cardinal friends are still here too,,They are the Indiana state bird where I grew up, I have always favored them,, though they are a little bit more stand offish,, they like my area in early morning and late afternoon,,

What an atmosphere in this image! The snowflakes curtain seems to put the scene out of our reach, and the bird seems to be saying goodbye. Great feeling of that a season is ending.

Excellent shot! We don't get birds with anything like these colours - I wish we did!

Great shot Shirley, I love seeing Cardinals when I visit the US, and as said below, this would make a great Christmas card.

Colin, I took this around 5-5:30 pm and it was cloudy. I am now in love with this E-5. There is no way I could use ISO 1600 or even have used 2000 and can use the photos with no problems. Thanks Colin!

Lovely shot, great technique - looks really good even if the iso was pumped up a bit !!

Shirley that is marvolous. We don't see snow and we don't se cardinals. Very well done.

Wow! This is greeting-card gorgeous and the perfect combination of shape, texture and subject. Absolutely stunning, Shirley.
