The detail is incredible, seeing up close how could anyone want to squish 'em, but they do illicit a strong an visceral feeling. --- Woody

Definately unwanted! Not that they do very much harm these days, at least in our part of the world. But how they can bring disease, like the human sleeping sickness from the tsetse flies. Did you know, btw that the tsetses are crudely similar to other large flies, such as this housefly?

I also get the feeling that one fly is indifferent to the other - each lost in its own space. Social isolates, as it were. Well captured, for sure!!

yep, they are disgusting, first as maggots and then when adults who knows what pile of $#!& they have just put their six little legs on prior to landing on your picnic food. Nice use of the 35mm macro

excellent work! My wife would also be wanting them to be gotton rid of!

I hate squishing bugs, I think I would have made Marv squish them or shoo them out the window. I can see her concern, those are two huge flies! ;o) Amazing macro Brent.
