I really like the body language - such a strong sense of this dog's personality and energy. Everything about this shot works toward a memorable portrait. Boris reminds me of our Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers. They're very dynamic and enthusiastic in their attitude.

Not sure what you had in your mind, but I can say you that this photo is excellent, plenty of energy and motion. I like how all the action seems to happen in a diagonal of the image, this enhances its dynamism. We could agree with Mr Hitchcock in avoiding children and animals when shooting, but if you take the risk, the reward can be so good as this photo is. endika

This one made me smile :o) It looks like Boris is as patient as Billy (my bird) for sitting still for a camera. I like that Boris is bolting, it gives the viewer a sense of his personality (at least I am guessing it does). Nice portrait Colin.
