She was about 15 feet from me I'd guess. So close that this isn't much of a crop! I've never reached out and touched one, I wouldn't dare get that fresh with them! Things have changed a lot down in the area these deer are. I used to give them an apple now and then as a little treat or 'thank you' for letting me photograph them but, now there are a lot of people going in there and feeding them tons of hard kernels of corn. I got into it with several of the people. I know they are trying to be kind feeding the deer but, truth is they are killing them with their kindness. I've printed up literature and handed it out to them and everything but, they just think I'm a nut. I gave up and got very sad after Mr. Smith died. I get to involved with critters I think.
